Whether you’re a high-performance athlete or a senior struggling with mobility — or somewhere in-between — your Cobourg YMCA offers group fitness classes that can help you achieve a higher level of health and conditioning.  Program intensity is classified as Gentle, Moderate or High.  These classes are designed to be fun and engaging for all participants.

Ab Blast

Designed to develop core strength and endurance, stabilizing muscles through a focused and structured routine.

CycleFit

A cardiovascular workout on our brand new Keiser bikes!  Your instructor will guide you through varying intensity levels on this state-of-the-art equipment that monitors your heart rate and RPMs, and allows you to adjust resistance with precision.  CycleFit is guaranteed to increase your heart rate and make you sweat!

Yoga Fitness

Increase flexibility, release tension, and make a mind-body connection in this class through breathing, posture and relaxation techniques.

Chair Pilates

Designed specifically for seniors with mobility limitations; improve posture, increase circulation and improve agility without leaving your chair.  Chair-adapted pilates focuses on developing core strength and stability.

CardioPump

A high-energy combination-impact class, followed by muscular strength, endurance and core training using a variety of equipment.
