Every day, our attentive and involved staff members become play partners with your child. True play is the way ALL children learn; it can be said that it is their occupation. Play-based learning has long been acknowledged as the best approach to ensuring a child’s continued enthusiasm and capacity for life-long learning.

YMCA Playing to Learn offers a child-led programming model that allows children to become fully engaged in their activities. The curriculum, assisted by staff who become play partners, clearly allows for a child’s interest to remain connected to the events of the day. Each child care professional is dedicated to carefully overseeing and subtly guiding what your child is learning. We take pride in documenting and reporting to parents the progress of each child, and we encourage your active participation in your child’s learning, both with us and at home.

Exciting and varied excursions, weekly swim programs, participation in community events, hot, nutritious meals and community visitors enhance the regular living curriculum program.
