Our YMCA Ontario Early Years Mobile
Outreach Program visits independent playgroups and community centres throughout
Northumberland. Our Mobile Outreach Coordinator visits the groups bi-weekly
to provide services and offer resources. The Coordinator leads the groups
in circle time with stories, songs and activities to teach learning concepts.
There is a snack and theme-related craft. As well, children are given the
opportunity to play and learn with the many toys from the toy-lending library.
There are no fees for the toy-lending library service and parents and caregivers
can also access books, articles, videos, tapes and resources to assist them
with parenting issues and information to access services throughout Northumberland.
The Mobile Outreach Service visits
playgroups in Warkworth, Bewdley, Grafton, Canton, Campbellford, Castleton,
Baltimore, Fenella, Harwood, Hastings and Colborne. For a full schedule of
